Would You Rather Tag: Makeup Edition!

      Mini-marathon on the blog today! I saw this tag floating around and decided to give it a go :)

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows? 

This question isn’t a difficult one for me and I’ll tell you why…I only own one eyeshadow palette. Yep, just one. It’s the Urban Decay Naked Basics if you’re wondering and in addition to that, I only own a couple other shadows. So, I would definitely rather lose “all” of my palettes and shadows J

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again? 

I’m one of those people where getting a haircut is a painful experience, however, in this situation I’d rather chop it all off.  It WOULD grow back…eventually.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

I immediately wanted to say coral, but when I actually thought about what I gravitate toward more often, it’s a pink…usually a peachy pink.

4.  If you had $1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

I really want to skip this question! Could I go 50/50? If I HAD to choose, I’d go with makeup. I have so many makeup products that I would love to try eventually and I just don’t have that same kind of “list” in my head when it comes to clothes.

5.    Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?

I really had a hard time with this one. Lipsticks come in black, really deep purple, brown and bronze and if you applied it with an eyeliner brush, it would totally work. The only thing would be the staying power; I feel like it would smudge like crazy. On the other hand, eyeliner comes in colors that could work for the lips like pink, burgundy and red, even nude. Eyeliner would stay as a lip color much better than a lipstick would stay as an eyeliner, right? I just prefer nude lips and I don’t think I could get it to look nice with a nude eyeliner on my lips so I’m going to go with lipstick as eyeliner and I’d chance the staying power.

6.   Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Sephora. So many more brands and choices.

7.   Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life? 

Well, after Question #1, I’m not big into eyeshadow so I would rather use only one eyeshadow for the rest of my life.

8.   Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?

They both sound miserable, but, winter clothes in the summer. I have to bring a jacket with me just to walk around the refrigerated food section in grocery stores because being cold is that bad for me. I think if I were wearing a sweater in the summer I could cut the sleeves off or something to make it work haha.

9.   Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Hmmm, this is a toughie. I look forward to wearing dark colors in the fall/winter seasons, but if I wear them when it’s hot outside it just feels so heavy, I don’t know how else to explain it. I’d probably go with bright or light-colored nails all year round because even a bright white or pale pink could be winter-appropriate.

10.  Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

My favorite lip product because even though I do have a couple of products I use almost daily that would be my favorites, I would give one of them up because I know I could easily find better favorites.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

           I don't always like a ponytail and if I want or need to wear my hair back I will        almost                           always go with some sort of bun.

12.    Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss? 

Well, there are other products you can put on your lips- lipstick, lipliner, chapstick, and lipstick comes in all different finishes so even though lipgloss is my favorite lip product, I would rather never use lipgloss again because there is nothing else you could use on your nails and I think I would get tired of seeing bare nails. Now if I were allowed a clear coat…there might be a different story.

13.    Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or Sharpie them in everyday?

Sharpie them in everyday. There are fine-point sharpies and there are tons of different shades so I think I could do that…I think. It's probably  not the "healthiest" thing to do for your skin. I would just prefer to not have them shaved and not fill them in!

14.    Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish? 

I would rather live without nail polish. Even though I would like the option of being able to use nail polish, I am just as fine without it. I can leave the house with bare nails and feel completely normal but if I leave the house with no makeup I don’t feel like me!
