Okay you guys. I've had the same "hairstyle" for years. It's been dark, long, middle parted and wavy for SO long. I just continue to get it trimmed an inch at the time because I'm too scared to do anything else. I have gotten it cut short several times in my life and most of them ended with me crying as soon as I get in the car. Sounds pretty pathetic, I know, but I was younger and they always took off way more than I asked for. That always seemed to happen to me so I'm really hesitant even to get my trims.
My hair has gotten rather unruly lately. It's too long, frizzy, I have crazy baby hairs...I just don't know what to do with it and it's so frustrating! Sooooo, I've been thinking of making the plunge and getting a lob. Yep, a lob, or a long bob. I feel like it'll look more put together, but still fun because I can still curl it. I also feel like it'll suit my face shape better because my face is kind of long/narrow and I think it'll fill it out better..does that make any sense at all?? haha
If I actually do it, I want it to be shoulder length- no shorter! I know I'll be sad when it's gone, but I just have to remember how much time it takes to style and that it doesn't really look good after about 15 minutes anyway! I also want it to be subtle, not like the photo below...

Great minds think alike. I've been thinking about a lob for some time. My hair is really long right now and with the heat I am over it. I also have extensions so if I want super long hair I can clip them in. I like #2 and #5.

Yes! It's a lot to handle when it's so hot out. I've been thinking about extensions for a long time for if I did ever decide to cut my hair short. I have a lot of research to do before making that kind of investment though! :)

ReplyDeleteIt's frustrating because I never like my hair when I get it cut, even though I KNOW it looks better. I cut mine short in the fall and I'm still kicking myself for it now. At the time, I loved it, but now I want my longer locks back. Such first world problems, but we can all relate.

At least I know other people struggle with the same first world problems as me! haha. I'm really hoping if I decide to do it that I don't regret it...I just always feel like a boy when I cut my hair shorter and it's not even THAT short....

I kind of have it at the moment, but I'm still trying to grow my stupid layers out and the bits around my face that have been shaped and now they are just at an awkward shorter than the rest of my hair length, I hate them!!!!!!! I can't wait till it grows out too look like this pictures, you should definitely get it!!

ReplyDeleteI agree! I feel like I have a long face shape so shorter hair wouldn't accentuate it as much as longer hair...it's my hair type that I worry most about! It's naturally wavy/curly so I'll definitely still have to go through the styling process, I just hope it sits right once I do that!
